The island nation

More than a city on a single island

Most visitors know Singapore by its skyline. Fewer realise it is a country of many islands. Singapore government publications describe 64 islands, including the main island — from busy Sentosa to quiet, green outcrops in the Southern Islands.

Our tours start with that bigger picture: how the sea, the shoreline and the islands shaped the way Singapore grew, and how coastal neighbourhoods such as Bedok developed through their relationship with the coast.

Your guide

Hello, I’m Bernard Neo

A licensed Singapore tourist guide, born and raised here and still discovering new things about the place I call home.

Having lived in Singapore all my life, I’ve watched the city change, and I love exploring the stories behind those changes. My curiosity has taken me into Singapore’s historic neighbourhoods, places of worship, wartime sites, heritage businesses and green spaces. I enjoy connecting the history of a place with the people who lived there and the everyday life you see today.

My travels across the Asia Pacific have deepened my interest in different cultures. When I travel, I enjoy looking beyond the familiar sights — and that’s the Singapore I love sharing with my guests too: quieter corners, neighbourhood discoveries and places you might otherwise walk past.

I’m also a licensed drone pilot and private hire driver, with an interest in seeing Singapore from different perspectives.

Whether you’re visiting for the first time or rediscovering your own backyard, join me for a journey filled with stories, conversation and discovery. There’s always another Singapore story around the corner.
